Here are some highlights from the video:
  • -We will not be gathering for worship services in-person for the next 8 weeks. Our hope is to gather again on Mother's Day- May 10.
  • Until then we will stream our services online via Live stream. (We will send more details about how you can access our live stream service an a forthcoming email).
  • This also means that all our church-wide events (Sunday and Wednesday Nights) are cancelled as well during this time. We will have more updates about our community groups in the coming days.

Why this decision?

  • We are following the CDC recommendations and an executive direction from the Jefferson County Heath Department. We rely on these health experts because they are more skilled and aware of the concerns of this virus, and how we can prevent it from spreading.
  • Also, we care about our community. We are called to care for the vulnerable in our congregation and our community. We want to care for our neighbors well and do our part to keep Blue Springs and Jackson County safe.

What's Next?

Over the next several weeks, these videos and other forms of technology will be a primary way that we communicate in the weeks to come.

Also, our elders and other leaders in the church are developing a plan to stay in touch with members and attenders of CrossWay during this season. We want to help you access our life stream on Sunday morning, but more importantly to encourage and care for you during this challenging time.

Giving to the church will look different as we are not able to gather in person for a time. 70% of our financial resources come from in-person gifts. What does it look like to continue to give online or by mail? Remember that we still have an financial obligations as a church, and that we are still called to serve and make disciples, which requires financial stewardship. I look forward to staying in touch with you during this time.

Continue to pray with us, and ask yourself how God can use you to better glorify Him and serve others during this challenging time.

Serving Christ with you,
Pastor Sam
