Community Groups

The primary purpose of a CrossWay Community Group is to see lives transformed in the context of an authentic biblical community. Each group is made up of a small number of church members (and those looking to be members) who are growing together as they gather throughout the week.

What does a Community Group look like at CrossWay?

These are on-going groups of around 12-15 people . Our groups inter-generational, consisting of members and families of different seasons of life from across our church family. CG's are an easy “front door” or next step for community, connection, and care for those new to our church. In most cases, these groups align with the Sunday morning sermon, seeking to apply the weekly message from God's Word in our own lives. We promote CGs as a clear first step for those committing to life at CrossWay. We see these groups as our chief way to live out “one-another” ministry among the church family.

How does a Community Group differ from a Bible Study?

Bible studies at CrossWay are seasonal studies geared around specific books of Bible or biblical topics. In most cases, these studies offer a clear start and end date during the fall, spring, or summer. We see these groups as great opportunities for men, women, or families to grow together in specific ways around good biblical content. While Bible Studies are very beneficial, we see our community groups as the primary avenue for connection, prayer, and care as a smaller collection of the family of God.
